Friday, April 10

Networking Roundtables
7:00 a.m. – 7:45 a.m.
Grab your breakfast and join fellow attendees to informally explore topics, pose and discuss questions, and to gather critical feedback on your projects and ideas. Held each morning during breakfast, networking roundtables of predetermined topics will be hosted by practitioners and organizations. Participants are welcome to stay the entire breakfast or move from table to table.

Concurrent Workshop Sessions
8:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.; 2:45 p.m. - 5:15 p.m.
Join a workshop session to explore a new topic, hear from experts and leaders in the field, gain insight and ideas, and share project successes. Workshop sessions are either 60-minute Engaged Learning sessions, or 30-minute Sharing Successes workshops.

Celebration Lunch
11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Join the conference community in celebrating the contributions and accomplishments of youths and adults from around the world. The 2015 National Service-Learning Award recipients will be recognized during this engaging luncheon.

Showcase and Power Break
1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Pick up an afternoon snack and stroll through the Showcase. The showcase highlights high quality projects from across the country and around the world. Talk with participants about their projects to learn how service-learning, service, and youth leadership were implemented, how they connected service to their curricular goals, what impact their projects have had, and what makes them effective. Stroll through the showcase and pick up ideas to take back home.
Showcases will be set up for the duration of the conference but will be staffed during the designated hours of 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. on April 10.

The Service-Learning Young Professionals are dedicated to the practice of service-learning in education. Young professionals as well as experienced veterans are welcome to attend this networking event to meet others from around the country.

Saturday, April 11

Serve and Celebrate!
11:45 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.
Each year, the National Youth Leadership Council culminates our conference with a Day of Service. To conclude the 26th Annual National Service-Learning Conference, NYLC will expand on this tradition inviting conference attendees to join local partners, and the D.C. community to Serve and Celebrate. This fun and engaging event will give back to the host community of D.C. by providing direct service, connecting community members and attendees to nonprofits in the area, and by providing the opportunity to hear from community leaders.
